A 16-way solid brass busbar rated to 100A — the clean way to centralise all your earth returns or distribute power across multiple circuits in a campervan or motorhome build. We use these in our own Vanlifer workshop when builds start to scale up beyond a single fuse block.

Benefits:
• 16 screw terminals handle all earth returns in one clean point.
• Solid brass construction for maximum conductivity and corrosion resistance.
• 100A total rating — suitable for full van builds with fridge, pump, heating, and lighting.
• 8mm central stud accepts lug-terminated heavy cable.
• Eliminates messy earth daisy-chains and ground loop issues.
• Mounts securely with included bridge system.

Features:
The 8mm central stud connects to a lug-terminated 4B&S or 6B&S cable back to your battery negative. The 16 branch terminals accept cables up to 6mm², which covers individual circuit returns. This busbar is most commonly used as a negative distribution block — all circuit earths terminate here, then a single heavy cable returns to the battery negative. Can also be used as a positive distribution point when two separate busbars are installed in larger builds. Never mix positive and negative on the same bar.

Complete your power distribution with the 12-Way Fuse Block and Midi Fuse Holder.

People are asking

What is a busbar used for in a campervan electrical system?

A busbar is a central connection point that distributes power to multiple circuits or consolidates multiple earth returns into a single cable back to the battery. In a van build, a positive busbar can feed multiple fuse blocks or devices from a single battery connection, while a negative busbar collects all circuit earths and returns them via one heavy cable — keeping wiring tidy and reducing voltage drop.

Can I use this as both a positive and negative busbar?

Yes — in most van builds a separate busbar is used for the earth/negative returns, since the fuse block already handles positive distribution. However if your build is large enough to need a dedicated positive distribution point as well, you can use two busbars — one for positive, one for negative. Never mix positive and negative on the same bar.

What cable size connects to the main stud?

The central input stud is 8mm, which accepts a lug crimped onto 4B&S or 6B&S cable — appropriate for the 100A rating. The 16 branch terminals accept cables up to 6mm² (about 8-10 AWG), suitable for individual circuit runs. Ensure all connections use correctly crimped lugs or ring terminals for a safe, vibration-resistant join.
