The PM335C is the Gen II MPPT version with a built-in 30A MPPT solar controller, offering more efficient solar charging than the PM100. It is better suited to builds with larger solar arrays (100W+) where maximising solar harvest matters. The PM100 is a simpler PWM-based system suited to smaller or basic setups.

What solar panel size suits the PM335C?

The PM335C has a 30A MPPT solar input, which suits solar panels up to around 400W on a 12V system. A single 200W panel is a common and effective pairing for a standard campervan build running a fridge, lights, and USB charging.

Does the PM335C charge from the vehicle alternator?
