A proven, maintenance-free AGM deep cycle battery well suited to campervan house battery setups, caravans, and marine use. The CAMEC 120Ah is completely sealed — no acid spills, no topping up — and handles vibration from NZ roads without complaint. At 120Ah it gives you around 60Ah of usable capacity: enough for overnight fridge, lighting, and device charging.

Benefits:
• Fully sealed — no spills, no maintenance, safe in enclosed spaces.
• Multi-orientation mounting — fits into tight or non-standard battery locations.
• 26-month warranty backed by CAMEC, a well-established RV brand.
• High purity lead-calcium alloy plates for up to 8 years lifespan under correct use.
• Vibration-resistant construction designed for life on the road.
• Copper-silver terminals offer low resistance and high corrosion protection.

Features:
The CAMEC AGM uses absorbent glass mat technology to lock the electrolyte in place, making it genuinely spill-proof in any orientation. The tough ABS housing with built-in carry handles makes installation manageable despite the 32kg weight. Maximum charge current is 25A — use a charger with an AGM profile to protect the battery and maintain lifespan. Dimensions: 395L x 110W x 285H mm. Terminals: M8 female thread.

For longer off-grid stays or higher loads, consider pairing two batteries in parallel or upgrading to lithium.

Charge with the Projecta PM335C for a full managed charging system. For those ready to upgrade, see the Projecta 400Ah Lithium Battery.

People are asking

Is the CAMEC 120Ah AGM battery suitable as a house battery in a campervan?

Yes, it is a common choice as a single house battery in smaller campervan conversions. At 120Ah you have around 60Ah of usable capacity (AGM batteries should not be discharged below 50%). That is enough to run a 12V fridge, LED lighting, and device charging for a night without solar. For longer trips or higher loads, two batteries wired in parallel or a lithium alternative is worth considering.

Can I install the battery in any orientation?

Yes. The fully sealed AGM construction means the battery can be stored and operated at any angle without risk of acid spillage. This makes it safe for van installations where upright mounting isn't always possible. Upright is still the preferred orientation for terminal access.

What size charger do I need for this battery?

The maximum charge current is 25A. A good rule of thumb is to use a charger at 10-20% of the battery's Ah rating — so a 12-24A AGM-compatible charger is ideal. Make sure your charger has an AGM profile, as a standard charger can damage AGM batteries over time. The Projecta PM335C charging system is a popular match for campervan builds.
