People are asking

Is a 25A DCDC charger enough for my battery bank?

A good rule of thumb is a charger rated at 10-25% of your battery bank's amp-hour capacity, which makes 25A a sweet spot for banks from around 100Ah to 250Ah. It will recharge a 100Ah lithium from half-full in roughly two hours of driving. For larger banks or faster turnaround, step up to the 40A model.

Do I need a separate solar charge controller?

No - the solar MPPT regulator is built in. Your roof panels wire straight into the charger's solar input, and it automatically prioritises solar power when the sun is out and tops up from the alternator while driving. One unit, one install, both charge sources covered.

Will it work with my van's smart alternator?

Yes - it's designed for modern variable-voltage smart alternators as well as traditional fixed-output ones, and includes a lithium wake-up function for batteries with a BMS that has gone to sleep. That covers the vast majority of late-model vans and utes on NZ roads.
