Projecta MC4 TYPE Y-LEAD POSITIVE CONNECTOR

MC4 is the standard weatherproof plug-and-socket connector used on solar panels. They lock together for a secure, UV-stable, waterproof connection between panels, extension leads and your solar controller wiring.

An MC4 crimping tool gives the most reliable terminations, and an MC4 spanner makes locking and unlocking the connectors much easier. Always crimp onto proper solar cable rated for outdoor UV exposure.

Y-leads join two panels in parallel, combining their current while keeping the same voltage - the most common setup for 12V campervan systems as it performs better in partial shade.
