A clean, handle-free way to keep small cabinet doors closed. Push the door shut and it clicks into the catch — push again and it springs open. No handle, no latch visible from the outside. Ideal for overhead lockers, bathroom panels, and small cabinet doors where a minimal look is preferred.

Benefits:
• Handle-free operation — push to close, push to open. Clean look from the outside.
• Holds small to medium cabinet doors closed during van travel.
• Compact and lightweight — adds nothing to cabinetry weight or bulk.
• White finish suits most van interior liners and painted cabinetry.
• Quick two-screw installation — body to frame, strike plate to door.
• Hafele quality — a trusted cabinetry hardware brand used worldwide.

Features:
The catch body mounts to the cabinet frame interior with two small screws. The strike plate mounts on the inside face of the door. When the door is pushed closed, it engages the spring catch. Push the door again and the spring releases it open slightly for easy gripping. Best suited for lightweight doors — overhead lockers, small bathroom panels, and slim wardrobe doors. For heavier doors or drawers, use the Locking Drawer Latch instead.

For heavier doors see the Locking Drawer Latch. For drawers see the 800mm Lockable Drawer Slides.

People are asking

What is a push button cupboard catch used for?

A push button catch keeps cabinet doors closed without a visible handle or latch. Push the door to close — it clicks into the catch. Push again to release and the door springs open slightly. Commonly used on overhead lockers, bathroom doors, and small cabinet doors in van builds where a clean, handle-free look is preferred.

Is this suitable for use on the road?

Yes, provided the door is reasonably lightweight. The catch holds well for small to medium cabinet doors in a van environment. For heavy doors or drawers subject to significant vibration, a locking drawer latch is a more secure option. Best suited to lightweight overhead locker doors and small bathroom or wardrobe panels.

How is it installed?

The catch body mounts to the inside of the cabinet frame with two small screws, and the strike plate mounts on the inside face of the door. No drilling required beyond pilot holes for the screws. The white finish blends with most van interior liners and plywood cabinetry.
