One flush-mount port gives your campervan a clean, integrated shore power connection — no trailing cables, no jury-rigged sockets.

Benefits:
• Rated to 230V/16A — covers standard NZ caravan park hookup supply.
• IP44-rated housing keeps the connection protected from rain and splashes.
• Engineering plastic housing resists corrosion in coastal and off-grid conditions.
• 96mm round cutout matches standard campervan and caravan body apertures.
• Flat 15mm profile sits neatly in the panel without protruding.
• Dust cap keeps the socket clean and dry when disconnected from shore power.

Features:
The KDAD-16A builds a professional shore power inlet directly into your van’s exterior body. Cut a 96mm round aperture, run your shore power cable through from inside, and fix with four ST4.2×25 countersunk self-tapping screws at 92mm horizontal, 92mm vertical, and 130mm diagonal spacing. The 115×136mm face panel fills the cutout cleanly. Rated IP44 against rain and splashes for outdoor mounting.

All shore power wiring must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Fit an RCD at the source and use cable rated for outdoor RV use. This inlet uses the IEC 60309 2P+E blue round connector format — confirm compatibility with your shore power lead before ordering.

People are asking

Does the KDAD-16A work with standard NZ caravan park power connections?

The KDAD-16A uses the IEC 60309 2P+E format — the blue round caravan connector used at NZ and Australian caravan parks. It is not compatible with a standard NZ 3-pin plug. You will need a caravan-rated shore power lead with a matching plug to connect to site power.

Does the shore power inlet need to be wired by an electrician?

Yes. All 230V mains wiring in New Zealand must be carried out by a qualified electrician. The KDAD-16A is the entry point for shore power into your vehicle — your electrician will connect it to your onboard 230V system via an RCD and appropriately rated cable. Do not attempt to wire this yourself.

What is the difference between this and a surface-mount shore power inlet?

The KDAD-16A mounts flush into the van body panel with only the face plate visible from outside — clean and integrated. A surface-mount inlet sits proud of the body on a bracket. The KDAD-16A requires a 96mm round cutout and sits at just 15mm depth, making it ideal for panel van builds where exterior finish matters.
