Run your solar cables through the roof cleanly and waterproof. This double entry gland handles two cables in one tidy housing — no leaks, no mess, professional finish on any van build.

Benefits:

• Fully waterproof seal around each cable — no water ingress even in heavy rain

• Fits two cables in one housing, keeping your roof penetrations to a minimum

• Curved low-profile design reduces wind resistance and snagging on branches or rack systems

• No drilling required — bond to the roof with Sikaflex or suitable sealant

• UV-stabilised ABS holds up under the NZ sun without yellowing or cracking

• Can also be used as a single cable entry — hole plugs included

Features:

This double entry gland is the standard choice for routing solar panel cables from your roof into your van. It accepts cables from 6mm to 12mm diameter, covering the range used by most 12V solar setups — including standard 4mm² and 6mm² solar cable. Plugs for both cable holes are included, so it can be configured as a single or double entry depending on your build. Mount it with Sikaflex or a suitable adhesive sealant for a permanent, watertight bond with no roof drilling required. If you only need to run one cable, check out our Single Entry Solar Gland.

Suits campervan conversions, motorhomes, caravans, boats and off-grid cabins.

People are asking

What cable size does this fit?

Fits cables 6mm to 12mm diameter — suitable for most standard 4mm² and 6mm² solar cables used in 12V van builds.

Do I need to drill to install it?

No drilling needed — mount it with Sikaflex or a suitable sealant applied around the base for a permanent, watertight bond.

Can I use it for just one cable?

Yes — hole plugs are included so you can seal off one entry and use it as a single cable gland.

What’s the difference between this and the single entry gland?

The single entry gland has one cable hole and is slightly smaller. Use this double version when running two cables (e.g. positive and negative) separately through the roof.
