What battery sizes is the Blue Smart IP65 10A suited to?

At 10A output, the charger will top up a 100Ah lead-acid battery in around 8–10 hours from flat, or a 200Ah battery in 16–20 hours. For lithium batteries, the charge time is similar but the algorithm is different (no float stage). For faster charging of large banks, consider the Blue Smart IP22 30A.

What's the difference between IP65 and IP22 rating?

IP65 means the charger is fully protected against dust and water jets — suitable for outdoor, garage, boat and van use in any weather. IP22 means protection against dripping water from above only — it must be used indoors in a dry environment. If there's any chance the charger could get wet or dusty, choose IP65.

Can I leave the Blue Smart IP65 10A connected permanently?

Yes — the 7-stage algorithm includes a safe maintenance/storage mode. Once fully charged, it switches to a low-current float that maintains the battery without overcharging. This is ideal for campervans and boats that sit unused between trips. Use the M6/M8 Eyelet Connector (included) for a permanent, tidy installation.
