Stop your water pump short-cycling and get smooth, consistent flow at every tap. The Seaflo 0.75L Accumulator Tank pairs with any 12V diaphragm pump to absorb pressure spikes, reduce pump wear, and keep your hot water steady — a small upgrade that makes a big difference in a campervan build.

Benefits:

  • Reduces pump on/off cycling — extends pump life significantly
  • Smooths water pressure spikes for steadier flow at taps and showers
  • Keeps hot water temperature more consistent — less pulsing at the outlet
  • Pre-pressurised at 10PSI — ready to install straight out of the box
  • Bolt-on installation — works with any existing 12V water system
  • Cuts battery drain between pump cycles

Features:

The Seaflo accumulator tank uses an internal rubber bladder to separate a pocket of air from your water supply. When the pump runs, water compresses the air cushion; when you open a tap at low flow, the tank releases that stored pressure before the pump needs to kick in. The result is fewer short cycles, quieter operation, and more stable pressure throughout your plumbing. Pre-charged to 10PSI and rated to a maximum of 125PSI, it connects via standard 1/2" MNPT fittings and mounts easily in-line with your existing pump setup. A worthwhile addition to any campervan or motorhome water system.

Works well paired with the Seaflo 42 Series RV Pressure Pump available at Vanlifer.

People are asking

Do I need an accumulator tank with my Seaflo pump?

It is not strictly required — the Seaflo 42 Series pump has an internal bypass that reduces cycling on its own. However adding an accumulator tank significantly extends pump life, reduces noise, and smooths pressure at taps and showers. It is a cheap upgrade that makes a noticeable difference, especially on hot water systems.

What pressure should I pre-charge the accumulator tank to?

The tank comes pre-charged to 10PSI from the factory, which suits most campervan water systems running a 12V diaphragm pump. You can adjust the air charge via the standard automotive-style tyre valve on the tank if needed. As a general rule, set the pre-charge to about 60-70% of your pump's cut-in pressure.

Where do I install the accumulator tank in my van plumbing?

The accumulator tank is installed on the outlet side of the pump, between the pump and your taps. Mount it upright or horizontally in any convenient under-bench or cabinet space. It connects via standard 1/2" MNPT fittings, which match most campervan plumbing setups.
