The clean, modular way to connect your battery bank to your Victron power system. The Lynx Power In provides a solid positive and negative DC bus bar with M8 bolt connections — the foundation of any serious Lynx-based campervan electrical build.

Benefits:

• Centralised battery connection point — clean, organised wiring

• Positive and negative bus bars with M8 bolt terminals — secure, low-resistance connections

• Accepts cables up to 22mm via bottom guides, unlimited size on side connections

• Designed for parallel battery strings — balanced current distribution

• Snaps into the Lynx modular system alongside Distributor and Shunt modules

• Used in our own Vanlifer campervan builds

Features:

The Victron Lynx Power In is the battery input module of Victron's modular Lynx DC distribution system. It provides both a positive and negative bus bar with M8 bolt connections, giving you a single, solid connection point for your battery bank whether that's a single battery or multiple batteries in parallel. All Lynx modules snap together into a tidy, serviceable bus bar assembly. An external fuse (MEGA fuse or Class-T) is required in the battery circuit and must be installed separately. Cables route through the bottom entry guides (up to 22mm) or the side connections for larger cable sizes. Download the datasheet below for dimensions and wiring guidance. Must be installed by a qualified electrical installer.

The Lynx Power In is designed to work alongside the Victron Six-Way MEGA Fuse Holder for multi-circuit protection. Pair with a SmartShunt 500A for current monitoring, and the MultiPlus 12/1600 or MultiPlus-II 3000VA as your inverter/charger. Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Lynx Power In and where does it fit in a Victron system?

The Lynx Power In is the battery connection module in Victron's Lynx modular DC bus bar system. It's the first module your battery cables connect to, providing a solid, low-resistance positive and negative bus for distributing power to other Lynx modules (Distributor, Shunt) and from there to your inverter/charger, solar controller, and 12V loads. It replaces a tangle of separate bus bars with a single, neat, modular assembly that is easy to service and expand.

Does the Lynx Power In include a fuse?

No — the Lynx Power In module itself does not include a fuse. A main battery fuse (typically a Class-T or MEGA fuse) must be installed externally in the positive cable between your battery and the Lynx Power In. Victron recommends this fuse be installed as close to the battery as possible. For fused multi-output distribution, see the Victron Six-Way MEGA Fuse Holder.

How many batteries can I connect to the Lynx Power In?

As many as you need — the Lynx Power In is designed for parallel battery strings. Multiple battery positive cables can connect to the positive bus bar and multiple negative cables to the negative bus bar. Bottom entry guides accept cables up to 22mm diameter; the side connections handle larger cable sizes. The 1000A bus bar rating means it handles even large lithium battery banks without restriction.

People are asking

What does the Lynx Power In actually do?

It provides a centralised positive and negative DC bus bar for connecting your battery bank to the rest of your Lynx system. Instead of running multiple cables directly from battery terminals, you connect all batteries to the Power In module and run a single cable set to your distribution.

What cable sizes does it accept?

Bottom entry guides accept cables up to 22mm diameter. The two side connections have no size limit. M8 bolts are used for all terminal connections.

Does it include a fuse?

No — the Lynx Power In is designed to be used with an external fuse (such as a MEGA fuse or Class-T fuse) in the battery circuit. Fusing is required and must be installed separately.

Does it need professional installation?

Yes — this involves high-current DC wiring. Incorrect installation can be hazardous. Please consult a licensed electrical installer and follow all applicable electrical codes.

What else do I need for a complete Lynx system?

A typical Lynx setup pairs the Power In with a Lynx Distributor (for fused outputs to loads) and optionally a Lynx Shunt (for current measurement). All Lynx modules snap together into a modular bus bar system with a clean, serviceable layout.
