Victron Energy SmartSolar 75/15 MPPT Solar Charge Controller 15A
Victron Energy SmartSolar 75/15 MPPT Solar Charge Controller 15A
SKU: EL267
The compact, entry-level Victron SmartSolar controller — with built-in Bluetooth, ultra-fast MPPT tracking, and a 75V PV input rating. The SmartSolar MPPT 75/15 is ideal for smaller solar setups, campervans with a single panel, or systems where panel voltage stays below 75V open circuit.
Benefits:
• Built-in Bluetooth — monitor and configure directly via VictronConnect app, no dongle needed
• Ultra-fast MPPT — up to 30% more energy than PWM in variable light conditions
• 75V maximum PV input — suits 12V and 24V systems with panels up to 75Voc
• 15A charge current — ideal for panels up to 215W at 12V or 430W at 24V
• BatteryLife algorithm extends battery lifespan
• Handles partial shading better than standard MPPT controllers
• Compact and lightweight — easy to install in tight spaces
Features:
The SmartSolar MPPT 75/15 is part of Victron's SmartSolar range, which means Bluetooth is built in — no separate dongle required. Connect directly from your phone to the free VictronConnect app to monitor real-time solar yield, battery voltage, charge state and historical data. The 75V maximum PV input voltage suits most single-panel configurations and small series panel strings where open-circuit voltage stays below 75V in the coldest expected conditions. Compatible with 12V and 24V systems and all common battery chemistries including lithium (LiFePO4), AGM, gel and flooded lead-acid. Load output terminal with BatteryLife protects your battery from over-discharge. For internet-connected remote monitoring, add a Cerbo GX via VE.Direct.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the SmartSolar 75/15 and the SmartSolar 100/20?
The two numbers refer to maximum PV input voltage and maximum charge current. The 75/15 accepts up to 75V PV open-circuit voltage and outputs up to 15A; the 100/20 accepts up to 100V and outputs up to 20A. The 75/15 suits single-panel setups and small arrays where PV voltage stays below 75V; the 100/20 suits larger arrays and gives more flexibility for panel wiring configurations. Both have built-in Bluetooth and the same MPPT algorithm.
How do I know if my solar panels are compatible with the 75/15?
Check your panel's open-circuit voltage (Voc) — typically printed on the panel label. In a 12V system, Voc must stay below 75V at the coldest temperature you'll experience. A single 200W panel typically has a Voc of 22–24V, well within the 75V limit. If you plan to wire two panels in series, their combined Voc could exceed 75V — in that case use the SmartSolar MPPT 100/20 instead.
Does the SmartSolar 75/15 work with lithium batteries?
Yes — it's compatible with lithium (LiFePO4), AGM, gel and flooded lead-acid batteries. Set the battery type in the VictronConnect app over Bluetooth. For a complete off-grid lithium setup, see our lithium battery upgrade installation service.
